Brothers
It is soo cute to see Scott and Tyler together. I put Tyler in Scott's crib and shut the door yesterday when I was taking a shower. When I got out, Scott managed to climb into the crib to rub his brother's little head. I am glad that he didn't smash him on the way in. He is usually very gentle and wants to be involved with everything that we do, from feeding to giving him medicine. Did I mention that Scott also really likes to poke him in the eyeball and at times wants us to leave him in the bassinet so he can get our full attention? Overall we are very proud of how our big boy is adjusting. It is so fun seeing him as a big brother. He is such a caring and concerned little guy when Tyler has his little cries.
Tyler is doing well. His echocardiogram on Monday came back great. They are pleased with how everything looks since the surgery. There is one little leak that doesn't seem grave, but everything else looks great. His oxygen saturation was in the mid 90's which is also great. We love his cardiologist, he's so helpful and loving. Tyler's pediatrician appt went well even though the doctor seemed very nervous about his condition. He is feeding better and we are balancing his bottle/breast and pump feedings. We want him to learn how to suck, but it drains his energy, so the rest goes through his feeding tube. The little hole from his chest incision is starting to heal. His last day of methadone for drug withdrawal was today. We will see how that goes. It appears that he is still in a little withdrawal.

I'll have to pick your brain sometime about the whole big brother-little brother dynamic. I'm a little nervous about facing that in a few months...
