Kira had a couple of friends over for her birthday party and they had a great time. I wanted to make it a paint party and due this cute unicorn painting but she told me she just wanted to hang out and had it all covered. She did the invitations herself, chose the date and they had a great time. 9 year old girls are a lot of fun. They are like little mini teenagers but then have glimpses of being carefree kids. They talked, listened to music, jumped on the trampoline, went to coolspot for some yogurt and came back for the after party to watch a movie. Originally we were going to go from 6-9 but it ended up going to 1030. She felt special and enjoyed her party.
It has been a great year for her. She is confident, fun, sassy, independent, a really hard worker, athletic, kind, generous, sweet, strong willed, did I mention sassy? This year she did great in gymnastics and when we decided to take a break, went right into doing other things with all her heart. She is currently running track, swimming (very part time) and doing Karate with Blake. She loves it all and begs to have something to do everyday. She really likes learning and school. Overall, she is a great kid with so many talents and a good heart.
