WST at Casini Ranch

This weekend was the 2nd annual Woodlands swim team camping adventure at Casini Ranch, northwest about 90 miles on the Russian River.

Blake caught a fish.  In all, three fish were caught.  I think it was one fish being caught three times.

Big group of fishermen on the first day

Parker finally realized that fishing is a lot of waiting and not a lot of action

Got some cool shots with the drone.  JP and I are in front of the first pop-up

Group shot with the drone.  Nice setup!

On Sunday morning Blake, Parker and I went fishing.  Well, I drove TRX-4 and flew the drone while they fished.  We saw a seal and a blue heron!

The kids had a good time.  I got to know some families that I didn't know previously.  It was colder than I expected.  Okay, bye.

WST at Roundhill

We swam against Roundhill at their country club.  The facility was real nice.  The kids swam well.  It was hot, hot, hot.

Northgate banquet and senior ball

Thursday was Northgate High School's end-of- the-season swim banquet.  It was at the Northgate chapel.  Kira got MVP for junior varsity.  Tyler was recognized for getting 1st at state in the 50 free.

I asked Dave Biener for a ladder and organized over 130 kids for a group shot.  People will take you seriously if you're on a ladder with an SLR.

Woodlands vs. Livorna

While Heidi was in Clovis with Tyler at the CIF state swim meet, I took Hanna and Parker to Woodlands' 1st dual meet of the season against Livorna.  The kids did well:

Hanna's events:

100 yard medley relay, 1st, 1:18

25 yard free, 17.84, 3rd

25 yard breast, 25.22, 4th

100 yard free relay, 1:12.47, 2nd

Parker is doing well with his 50s and attending most of practice.  He swam:

200 yard medley relay, free, 2:54.58, 3rd

50 yard free, 35.87, 4th

50 yard back, 45.49, 6th

200 yard free relay, 2:23.46, 2nd.

Having only two swimmers allowed a lot of down time which I almost never get.

Tyler did the 50 free para division iii and went 25.31 for a 1st place finish.
