Tyler had his end of the season NG golf awards party. His coach was so complimentary of him. He said Tyler was such an awesome athlete and teammate and was so impressed with his incredible improvement. Tyler got it his letter and was named most improved. They only gave two awards for MVP and most improved.
Ironically, the kid who got MVP tied Tyler's score in their last practice match to see who got a spot for the championship game. Tyler would have beat him but the other kid didn't count a missed putt so they tied and since the other kid had a better last hole, he got the spot. Tyler came home a little annoyed but I told him he should speak up next time. I don't know the culture. Tyler's response was just to keep getting better which is a good response too.
Anyway, it was a great season! Tyler loved being part of the team and learning a new sport. I think it will be a sport that will be a great blessing in his life for many years to come. He is so lucky to have such an awesome coach who took him in and believed in him. He learned a lot of amazing life lessons along the way this season. Way to go Tyler. We are so proud of you!
