School

Scott attends Walnut Acres Pre-K program. The elementary school runs a pre-k program for kids 4 years, 9 months and up in the morning. Scott was able to start in November. We started with two days a week and in February went 15 hours a week. Everyday except Wednesday which is park day and a day to play with all his friends. I couldn't have found a better program for Scott. It is the perfect balance of playing, learning and he will attend school with all these kids next year. The teachers are so fun and loving. The kids all seem to have so much fun. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who has a child entering Kindergarten. In the beginning he was really shy. He liked it, but didn't love it. He wanted to me to come in the classroom. We always talk before bedtime and he tells me about his day. Things are discussed at night that for some reason a child doesn't tell you during the day. One night he told me one of his friends who he was playing with on the

Fishing For Pine-Cones

We might possibly have the BEST trail that goes everywhere and has a little creek. The boys brought their nets in hopes of catching tadpoles which it is too early for. Scott's next plan was the ducks which also had little success. A little bummed about our unsuccessful fishing day (except for a gross water insect that we HAD to bring home) I had a great mommy moment. I threw a pine cone in the water upstream and the boys caught them as they traveled downstream. It was a lot of fun. The day ended in total fishing success knowing the total number of pine cones that they caught. My mom brain might not be able to do math but it sure can figure out how to add happiness and success to my kids lives. Would Amy Chua agree with throwing in pine-cones so my kids succeed :*)) What a bizarre article. Anyway, I love being me and wouldn't change it!

Sick

I was sick all night Sunday night + Scott was sick all night Monday night. That equals lack of Sleep and Energy. Right now I am enjoying the sunshine with Tyler while Scott and Kira are sleeping. Hoping for a good nights sleep tonight. Grateful it is only 24 hour sickness.
