Hanna got high point, MVP, and the Grant Burton perpetual award.  The Grant Burton award is given to the best female athlete on the team.

Walnut Creek conference meet

On Saturday Blake had a meet at Chabot college in Hayward.  He did:

200 yard IM: 2:24.79, 26th

100 breast:  1:18.62, 36th

50 yard free:  25.72, 15th

He didn't final so we went back to Walnut Creek for the conference meet which lasted all day Saturday and all day Sunday.  Hanna got high point.  Woodlands won the whole thing.  

Hanna:  25 yard breast:  20.01, 1st

100 yard medley relay, breast, 1:14.28, 1st

25 yard back, 18.32, 1st, broke the team's record

100 IM, 1:29.68, 1st

100 yard free relay, 1:06.05, 1st

Kira went some best times.  

100 yard free:  59.43, 8th

200 yard medley relay, free, 2:06.39, 7th

50 yard free:  26.76, 5th

100 yard back 1:11.36, 14th

200 yard free relay, 1:51.80, 6th

Scott is the head coach for LMYA.  Their team got last place and historically gets last place but this year they won the most improved award.  Most improved from last year or most improved from Saturday to Sunday?  We may never know.  But they got a plaque!

Woodlands Invitational 2026

Yesterday and today was Woodlands invitational, a huge meet with 1000 swimmers.

Annual McMillan family reunion, Temecula edition

This year we had the annual McMillan family reunion in Temecula.  We stayed the night in Irvine, hit Dana Pointe beach, then headed to Temecula where my parents rented a huge home with lots of marble and tile.  Favorite activity:  La Jolla Beach in San Diego.  

2nd place:  San Diego temple open house.  

This was a detached pool house with a bedroom on one side, pool table/hot tub/conference room in the middle and movie theater on the other side.  

This hallway was 30 paces, at least 125 feet long.  

Dana Pointe beach
